Shipshape, or a bit Fishy?

Written by david kemp. Posted in The Blog

Its been very chilly down in my clifftop workshop , where my son George & I have spent the winter building a large wind-driven Kinetic Sculpture, bound for a quayside site near Liverpool Marina, on the banks of the Mersey.

The commissioners would like to make the final outcome a surprise, but here are a few out-takes of Work in progress.

Is it shipshape, or a bit fishy?

Fish & Ships tells  a story of Fish, Ships, men, women, emmigrants, voyages ,arrivals& departures, tides & times in the Port of Liverpool.

It is one of a dozen kinetic & sound Sculptures especially commissioned for Liverpools “WINTER TRAIL” which opens on the 14th Febuary.
