Is Art Fair?

Written by david kemp. Posted in The Blog

The HAZARD SISTERS  were   first discovered washed up on a wild winter beach in West Cornwall, way back in the nineties.

Their first public appearance came when they were cast in the Kneehigh outdoor theatre production”GHOST NETS ” in 1996. Joining  the “netter of souls” Slickery Dick” & other characters salvaged from  tideline debris, they starred in a site specific production about marine pollution, enacted on  a open air  ocean side site.

Several other roles followed, including  a foyer appearance at the Hall for Cornwall
, during the Duchy opera’s  production of the opera “The Wreckers”,before they found  full-time positions as ” insecurity  guards ” on the doors of my clifftop workshop.

Very recently they  were invited for yet another, & very differant public appearance ,this time far from the wild  &  polluted ocean. The Hazard Sisters , after a trim to their windblown tresses, & scrubbed up not too nicely,  travelled up to the capital, early January.

See how fair they fare at the fair,
on the Millenium Gallery stand  (G5)  at the LONDON ART FAIR
-all this week(16th 20th January)
