It has been very useful to have your feedback. Several people have remarked that some of my work, reminds them of "Steam Punk"? 

I first heard the term this Autumn, when a friend recommended  the entertaining exhibition " Steam Punk" at the Oxford Historyof Science Museum.Although I understand the apparent simularities,parrallel worlds ,for example, I feel my inspiration is slightly more specific ?

I have long been fascinated by  some connections between technology &mythology, it seems that we have invented both our machines, &  our gods. These inventions we have created,machine or god, possess superhuman powers, their functions  might be much more than practical? ( Vulcan, the smith-god, Mercury,messanger of the gods, & a modern communications system,etc.etc,

Of course, I have read & been influenced by many dystopias &Science Fictions. J.G.Ballards "Concrete Island" was an early influence, leading to "The TailightSociety" and ideas about post technological tribalism, such as "The Tribe that held the sky up ".

Jules Verne  might be described as the patron Saint of Steam Punk ?& was of course an early influence.The NAVIGATORS ,a large kinetic sculpture(1987)amoungst the neo-Victorian Architecture of Hays Galleria(South bank of the Thames ,near London Bridge)was strongly prompted by Jules Vernes stories.
